The holiday season is here so to set you off over the next few days of retailers and charities seeking your attention here are some statistics compiled from NationalToday.com’s holiday shopping survey of 1000 Americans.

BLACK FRIDAY (NOV. 24)

75% of Americans will go shopping this Black Friday, and 33% will spend more than $500. Walmart is America’s favorite Black Friday store (75% will shop there) and clothing is its most coveted category of deal (58%). P.S.—Americans most want deals on Victoria’s Secret (54%)!

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY (NOV. 25)

Though only 39% of Americans plan to participate in Small Business Saturday, 57% say they make it a point to shop local. 45% feel more welcomed at small businesses, while 38% say they make them feel like a part of the community.

CYBER MONDAY (NOV. 27)

55% of Americans plan to shop on Cyber Monday, and 47% will spend more than 2 hours online. 12% of Americans will shop at work, 10% will be less productive at work because of the deals, and 5% will even skip work altogether to shop.

GIVING TUESDAY (NOV. 28)

Only 24% of Americans plan to participate… but 45% say they’re more generous than their friends (hmm.) Giving Tuesday participants plan to give most to these categories of charities: human services (49%), women (34%), health (30%), and education (30%).
